Purpose and Heart of Ministry
Our Ministry Purpose
Promises To Israel was established to provide assistance for believers to reach Jewish people for Christ in their own circle of contacts. This site is exclusively dedicated to provide information and literature, acting as a research and training center to equip believers in presenting the Messiah of Israel to Jewish people. This site is purposely kept simple. No fancy graphics to distract you from our main objective – teaching about the Jew. We want to keep this easy, not complex so that if you are a newcomer to computers and websites you will be able to work your way through this site without getting lost. We want your time spent here to be enjoyable and profitable as you learn about witnessing to Jewish people.
The Heart of this Ministry
In the summer of 2000 I participated in an outreach in New York City with Chosen People’s STEP program. I walked the streets of Manhattan, realizing that one out of every three people I was passing out literature to was Jewish. My heart broke, because in that great city there are so few to reach them. As a result of that summer, the Lord has burdened my heart with a vision to reach Jewish people through the local Church, using the internet as a vehicle to multiply what I can do by a “hundred fold”.
The nation of Israel is scattered among the nations of the world as He said they would be in Deuteronomy 30:1-8. But wherever the Jewish people are located, the Church, the bride of Messiah, is there also. The church needs to be trained in reaching out to His people to share with them that He, the Messiah, has already come. The church, however, continually appears to be disinterested, but individuals within the church who have a Jewish heart for His people, must be equipped and trained in accomplishing this task. But they do not know where to go to get resources and training to witness. If I were able to speak in a different church every week of the year, that would mean I could only touch 52 churches a year, and that is not even training anyone! That is only a grain of sand on the seashore. Many churches we would never be able to get into. Yet within those local church bodies there are people who love and pray for Israel and the Jewish people. But their lack knowledge, training and resources to witness effectively to their Jewish neighbor, or Jewish co-worker, their Jewish doctor, or the Jewish people they do business with daily, inhibits them in their witness. Through this web-site I can be in contact with hundreds of people throughout the world, not just my little corner of the planet. Your local community is your “Jerusalem,” and as you reach out to the world at your door step, the Apostle Paul says very clearly, “to the Jew first”!
I believe and support missions 100 % without hesitation. But the church has not been effective in reaching its “Jerusalem” – especially the Jewish nation that lives among us. We must love them, and share with them that He, their Messiah, has come and has provided atonement for their sins. In many of our towns and communities we do not need missionaries, because the church is present. A Missionary can go to churches throughout his area and train and equip believers to reach out to Jewish people. That is the heart of Ariel Ministries. We do need Missionaries in many places like New York City, Brooklyn, in Israel and other places where the church is not strong, to reach the large concentrations of Jewish people.
However, through the Internet, I can reach into thousands of churches and homes to equip and train in reaching the Lost House of Israel. I can help missionaries around world, who are ministering for the Lord in other countries, with witnessing materials for them to use when Our Lord directs Jewish people across their paths. Please join me in prayer for His people, who have been the vehicle through whom God has given salvation to us Gentiles (Romans 11:11). Without these precious people you and I as Gentiles would still be bowing before wood and stone images. May our Lord richly bless you as you bless the sons and daughters of Abraham with His own written word and with the Living Word of God, the Messiah of Israel.
