Pastor Ron Riddley – Pleasants Plains Baptist Church

During our journey as a Christian, God strategically places people in our lives to encourage, challenge, and grow us in our faith.  Fifteen years ago, in the latter part of my ministry, God placed such a person in my life.  His name is Rev John B. Metzger.  John is a faithful author, preacher, teacher and expositor of the Word of God.  He is a Gentile who has accepted God’s call on his life to reach out to the Jewish people with the Gospel of Christ,  John is associated with Ariel Ministries who also seeks to reach Jewish people for Christ as well as discipling believers in the Scriptures.

He has brought to my life a fresh and unique understanding of the Scripture as he approaches God’s Word from a Jewish perspective.  John has spoken numerous times in my pulpit and taught the book of Revelation as a discipleship study for us on Sunday nights.  His ministry has been a blessing to me personally and to Pleasant Plains Baptist Church in Matthews, NC.
