To whom it may concern,

I am writing this letter to strongly recommend and endorse John Metzger as a speaker/missionary to your church.  John has spoken at Fairview Bible Church on many occasions and in many capacities.  He was an instrumental help to us during a period when we were without a pastor.  John was readily available and even travelled over two hours each way to minister to us.  John’s faithful teaching and preaching was truly a blessing and was very much enjoyed by our congregation.  I can also assure you that he is faithful to preach the Word of God without apology or compromise.

John’s true passion lies with reaching the Jewish people for the cause of Christ.  John brings a Jewish mindset to his teaching that presents the scriptures in a way that really allows the passages to be seen in a new light compared to our normal “Western” way of thinking.  Our church people have remarked that even when previously well known and studied passages have been taught by John, there was always a perspective that had not been considered before.  We have also brought John in to perform a traditional Passover Seder demonstration which was immensely enjoyed and well attended.  His knowledge of Jewish customs and traditions has been invaluable to us, especially in teaching us how to approach Jewish people with the Good News of the Gospel.

In Summary, I would strongly recommend John Metzger to minister to your church.  His approach to ministry is practical, well informed and timely to the times in which we live.  I consider John a great resource on the scriptures, a brother in Christ and a close personal friend.
